No. 1 Andrew boys track team is playing the waiting game

When Andrew senior sprinting star John Bickel found out his team was ranked preseason No. 1 in the state in Class 3A by the respected MileSplit Illinois website, he was not stunned by the news.

“I was happy and not surprised at all,” he said. “I know how much work all of my teammates put in. We’ve been motivating ourselves and motivating each other to do the best we can. Our coaches are helping us do our best. It wasn’t a shock to me personally, but it was to some other people.”
